SUMMARY:Sketching at Haus zum Falken
DESCRIPTION:This time we are sketching one of Zurich?s newest buildings: the Haus zum Falken at Stadelhofen station. This new building by Santiago Calatrava was completed in 2025 and replaces the former Haus zum Falken\, which dated from 1918. Calatrava had previously designed Stadelhofen station\, which opened in 1990. More than 30 years later\, he is now adding another striking building to his well-known Zurich landmark. The folded glass fa?ade\, its reflections and the interplay with the station\, the tracks and Stadelhoferplatz offer us plenty of exciting perspectives to draw from. \nMeeting point: In front of the Starbucks at Stadelhofen station\, on the side facing Stadelhoferplatz / Sechsel?utenplatz. \nPlease bring your own drawing materials and\, ideally\, a small folding stool. No prior experience required. We sketch for about 2 hours\, solo or in small groups\, at an easy pace. Afterwards we regroup\, share our sketches and take a group photo.
