DESCRIPTION:USk St. Gallen invites all urban sketchers and anyone who enjoys sketching together to the SKETCHcrawl in Rorschach. The event serves as a pre-event for the 8th Swiss Urban Sketchers Symposium 2026\, taking place in St. Gallen in September\, and\, together with the preceding three-day exhibition «Urban Sketching» in the region\, aims to raise awareness of urban sketching and the drawing gathering. \nDate: Sunday\, August 16\, 2026
\nTime: 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
\nMeeting point: TRAFO\, Stadtwald\, 9400 Rorschach \nThe SKETCHcrawl marks the conclusion of the exhibition «Urban Sketching»\, organized by the Kunstverein Rorschach in collaboration with the Urban Sketchers St. Gallen. We invite a diverse selection of urban sketchers to exhibit their sketchbooks\, loose drawings\, or even framed artwork during the three-day exhibition from August 14–16\, 2026\, at TRAFO Rorschach. This call is open to all artists\, regardless of where they live or whether they belong to a USk regional group. Anyone interested in contributing their sketches and drawings to the exhibition can find more information here or feel free to contact Lukas Mosimann by email. \nAnyone can participate in the SKETCHcrawl; no registration is required\, and participation is free. Just pack your own drawing supplies and let’s get started. Following the SKETCHcrawl\, the resulting drawings can be displayed at the exhibition’s closing reception. \nSee you soon in Rorschach

DESCRIPTION:La ville de Saint-Gall est célèbre pour sa vieille ville pittoresque avec ses 111 encorbellements richement décorés. Le quartier de l’abbaye\, avec son impressionnante cathédrale baroque et la somptueuse salle rococo de la bibliothèque abbatiale\, est inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Ici\, l’histoire est palpable à chaque pas. 
Du 3 au 5 septembre 2026\, des urban sketchers venus de près ou de loin se réuniront ici pour découvrir la ville à travers le dessin. L’accent sera mis sur le dessin en commun et les échanges personnels. Tous les dessinateurs et dessinatrices sont les bienvenus\, quels que soient leur niveau\, leur expérience\, leur parcours et leur âge. \nÀ Saint-Gall\, nous empruntons une nouvelle voie. Lors de la rencontre USk de cette année\, nous vous proposons un programme qui met l’accent sur le dessin en commun et les échanges personnels… sans ateliers. Nous mettons l’accent sur 4 SketchWalks avec un total de 18 SketchPoints et découvrirons ensemble les ruelles et les recoins de la ville historique de Saint-Gall. Nous proposons également un programme-cadre passionnant qui vous permettra de discuter avec vos anciens et nouveaux amis et vous laissera un souvenir inspirant à emporter chez vous. Vous pouvez également vous réjouir de retrouver de nombreuses activités familières\, l’équipe d’organisation travaille déjà avec joie et enthousiasme à l’élaboration du programme.
