DESCRIPTION:We’ll be visiting the Basel Ballet to watch their training sessions and rehearsals. \nThere are only places available for a maximum of 20 people. If you’d like to take part\, please register by 6 pm on Friday\, 14 August at the latest by emailing me at herrat-usk@bluewin.ch. \n  \nMeeting point \n9.45 am sharp at Theatre Basel\, stage entrance\, Elisabethenstrasse 16 (Google Maps link) \nWe’ll be picked up there\, so anyone who isn’t there on time won’t be able to get in. \nGoogle Maps link: \n  \nSchedule \n\n10.00 to approx. 11.15 am: Ballet training\, drawing from the gallery\nFollowed by a short break; please bring your own food and drink (which can be eaten outside the ballet studios)\n11.30 am: Rehearsals for the new production begin\nAround 12.30/1.00 pm: Rehearsal break and the end of the session for us\nAfterwards\, we’ll meet outside the theatre café (Link) to look at the drawings we’ve done.\n\n  \n‒    We must take our shoes off before stepping onto the dance floor. \n‒    Please bring your own stool. DESCRIPTION:USk St.Gallen invites all Urban Sketchers and anyone who enjoys sketching together to the SKETCHcrawl in Rorschach. The event serves as a pre-event for the 8th Swiss Urban Sketchers Symposium 2026\, taking place September 3–5 in St.Gallen\, and – together with the preceding three-day «Urban Sketching» exhibition in the region – aims to raise awareness of urban sketching and the drawing gathering. \nDate: Sunday\, August 16\, 2026\nTime: 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.\nMeeting point: TRAFO\, Stadtwald\, 9400 Rorschach \nThe SKETCHcrawl marks the conclusion of the «Urban Sketching» exhibition\, organized by the Kunstverein Rorschach in collaboration with the Urban Sketchers St.Gallen. Urban Sketchers from all over Switzerland\, who regularly meet in various regional USk groups to sketch together\, will exhibit their works and sketchbooks during the three-day exhibition from August 14–16\, 2026\, at TRAFO Rorschach. As part of the exhibition\, an «Urban Sketching Basics» workshop will take place on Saturday. \nAnyone can participate in the SKETCHcrawl; no registration is required\, and participation is free. Just pack your own drawing supplies and let’s get started. The resulting drawings will then be laid out on tables\, photographed together\, and discussed during the closing event.
