Hotels are listed in the program. \nMeals: Breakfast and lunch are on your own; dinner can be eaten individually or together at restaurants and grottos in the area. \nParticipants: A maximum of 12 participants per workshop\, for a total of 24. \nUSK Week welcomes everyone who enjoys drawing. No prior experience is necessary. \nLanguage: The workshops led by Jenny Adam and Rolf Schr?ter will be held in German\, while those led by Eleanor Doughty and St?phanie Senez will be in English. \nCurrent Information:\nBefore each workshop\, at 8:50 a.m.\, participants will be informed about the program details and meeting points for the sketchwalks. \nShort-notice program changes are possible. \nMaterials and Preparation:\nBring your preferred materials such as pencils\, brushes\, paints\, sketchbooks\, and drawing pads. The specific materials required for each workshop are listed in the workshop descriptions. \nWeatherproof clothing\, shoes with good tread or hiking boots\, a backpack\, hiking poles (optional)\, sun and rain protection\, and swimwear are recommended. DESCRIPTION:The summer temperatures are here to stay\, making it the perfect time to seek out one of the shadiest spots in Zurich?s Old Town. Our destination is the cloister of the Grossm?nster. Although thousands of people pass the Grossm?nster every day\, many have never discovered this peaceful retreat. With its Romanesque arches\, elegant columns\, the interplay of light and shadow\, and views into the small garden\, it offers a unique atmosphere and plenty of inspiring sketching subjects. \nMeeting point: On the square in front of the main entrance to the Grossm?nster\, by the large lime tree. \nPlease bring your own drawing materials and\, ideally\, a small folding stool. No prior experience required. We sketch for about 2 hours\, solo or in small groups\, at an easy pace. Afterwards we regroup\, share our sketches and take a group photo.

The theatre\, its surroundings and the Serra sculpture also provide some great backdrops. \nCity Climate Day invites everyone to discover together how Basel can remain a liveable and cool city in the future. It highlights what is already being done in Basel to improve the urban climate and shows how each and every one of us can take action. The programme includes guided tours\, talks\, hands-on activities\, films and a drinks reception. The focus is on collective action: experiencing knowledge\, sharing ideas and initiating concrete projects ? this creates a ?green trail? that has an impact beyond the day itself. The event is aimed at experts and urban climate stakeholders as well as the general public\, families and students. \nThe Canton of Basel-Stadt is organising this event. DESCRIPTION:This time we are sketching one of Zurich?s newest buildings: the Haus zum Falken at Stadelhofen station. This new building by Santiago Calatrava was completed in 2025 and replaces the former Haus zum Falken\, which dated from 1918. Calatrava had previously designed Stadelhofen station\, which opened in 1990. More than 30 years later\, he is now adding another striking building to his well-known Zurich landmark. The folded glass fa?ade\, its reflections and the interplay with the station\, the tracks and Stadelhoferplatz offer us plenty of exciting perspectives to draw from. \nMeeting point: In front of the Starbucks at Stadelhofen station\, on the side facing Stadelhoferplatz / Sechsel?utenplatz. \nPlease bring your own drawing materials and\, ideally\, a small folding stool. August 2026\nZeit: von 10:00 bis 12:00\nOrt: Sempach\nTreffpunkt: Luzerner Tor\, beim Eingang in die Altstadt \n  \nDas Treffen ist f?r alle\, die gerne zeichnen. Man muss sich nicht anmelden und es kostet auch nichts. Einfach eigenes Zeichen-Material mitbringen und los geht?s.
