DESCRIPTION:The Museum Rietberg’s exhibition “Mongolia – A Journey through Time” connects archaeology\, history and the present: over 200 loans from Mongolian museums\, early urban centres\, craftsmanship and art\, plus insights into today’s life between city and steppe. For urban sketchers this means crisp shapes\, ornamental details\, textiles and characterful objects\, along with the museum’s architecture and spaces. \n  \nWe meet in front of the museum at the main entrance\, which opens at 10:00. Admission is CHF 18. Only pencils and coloured pencils may be taken into and used in the exhibition. Large bags/backpacks are not permitted – please use the lockers and bring coins for a possible deposit. As in most museums\, chairs are available on site.

DESCRIPTION:Diesen Sonntag zeichnen wir im Kunsthaus Grenchen.\nTreffpunkt ist um 14 Uhr vor bzw. im Foyer des Kunsthauses an der Bahnhofstrasse 53 in Grenchen. \nOrganisatorisches:\nDer Eintritt beträgt auf freiwilliger Basis 5.-.\nEs stehen Hocker zur Verfügung und die Rucksäcke bitte in den Schliessfächern verstauen.\nBitte keine nassen Materialien/offenes Wasser verwenden\, ein Wassertankpinsel ist aber in Ordnung. \nZeichnungsort:\nDas Kunsthaus Grenchen zeigt zur Zeit die „Lichter Regen“-Ausstellung von Julia Steiner sowie die Kunstsammlung „We Care! Grenchen Makes It Work“\, bei welcher auf den lokalen Erfinder- und Entwicklergeist fokusiert wird.\nBei den Werken von Julia Steiner wird explizit vom Kunsthaus dazu eingeladen\, Ihrer Kunst mit Stift und Papier zu begegnen und diese so in einem anderen Licht wahr zu nehmen.\nAber auch das Kunsthaus selbst mit seinem Alt- und Neubau sowie die nähere Umgebung bieten spannende Motive.\nIn Laufnähe befindet sich unter anderem der Bahnhof Grenchen Süd und die neue technische Fachhochschule mit seiner spannenden\, bewegten Fassade.

DESCRIPTION:Two days before the Morgestraich\, we visit the permanent exhibition on Basel Carnival at the Museum of Cultures. The historic rooms convey the carnival atmosphere. They are filled with mostly historical artefacts that give Basel Carnival its distinctive character.\nIt is fun to sketch these\, as it invites you to exaggerate and caricature. Children also have fun here. Link: information about the Basel Carnival exhibition \nParticipation by registration only.\nThe exhibition is located in an annex of the museum\, where space is limited. The number of participants and the length of stay are therefore restricted\, and registration with Herrat (email address: herrat-usk@bluewin.ch) is required.\nWe will form two groups. Up to 10 people per group will have one hour to visit the exhibition:\nGroup 1: 2:00–3:00 p.m.\nGroup 2: 3:00–4:00 p.m.\nThe first 10 registrations will be in the first group from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.\, and the following registrations will be in the second group. DESCRIPTION:Diesen Sonntag zeichnen wir im Museum altes Zeughaus in Solothurn. Treffpunkt ist um 14 Uhr vor bzw. im Museum.\nOrganisatorisches: Der Eintritt beträgt 8.- und die Rucksäcke müssen in den Schliessfächern verstaut werden. Es stehen Hocker zur Verfügung und aufgrund des Alters des Hauses sollte auf offenes Wasser verzichtet werden. Wassertankpinsel sind gestattet.\nZeichnungsort: Das alte Zeughaus war früher Aufbewahrungsort der Wehrausrüstung der Solothurner Bürger sowie Waffen- und Rüstungslager der Söldner. Heutzutage werden eben diese Ausrüstungen gezeigt: Von Schwertern über Lanzen\, Schusswaffen und Kanonen\, Armbrüste und Uniformen\, die Auswahl ist riesig. Im zweiten Stock befindet sich er Rüstsaal mit seinen rund 400 Rüstungen\, welche alle einzigartig in Form\, Ausstattung und Dekoration sind. In Laufnähe befindet sich die Solothurner Altstadt mit der St.Ursen-Kathedrale oder den Stadttoren\, aber auch das Aareufer.
