Treffpunkt ist um 14 Uhr vor dem Schlosseingang. \nZeichnungsort: Das Schloss steht in mitten eines (durch die Hitze nicht mehr so) grünen Parkes mit höhen Bäumen\, Spielplatz und Efeu-Herz an der Rundmauer. Gleich daneben befindet sich die Zihl: ein kleiner Nebenarm der Aare\, mit Bäumen und viel Schatten gesäumt. In Laufnähe befindet sich die Altstadt von Nidau\, das Strandbad Biel sowie die Campus-Baustelle und der Bahnhof.

Aber auch das ganz alltägliche Leben der Menschen kann auf Papier festgehalten werden. DESCRIPTION:The summer temperatures are here to stay\, making it the perfect time to seek out one of the shadiest spots in Zurich’s Old Town. Our destination is the cloister of the Grossmünster. Although thousands of people pass the Grossmünster every day\, many have never discovered this peaceful retreat. With its Romanesque arches\, elegant columns\, the interplay of light and shadow\, and views into the small garden\, it offers a unique atmosphere and plenty of inspiring sketching subjects. \nMeeting point: On the square in front of the main entrance to the Grossmünster\, by the large lime tree. \nPlease bring your own drawing materials and\, ideally\, a small folding stool. No prior experience required. We sketch for about 2 hours\, solo or in small groups\, at an easy pace. Afterwards we regroup\, share our sketches and take a group photo.

SUMMARY:8th Swiss Urban Sketchers Symposium 2026 in St.Gallen
DESCRIPTION:The city of St.Gallen is famous for its picturesque old town with 111 ornate bay windows. The Abbey District\, with its impressive Baroque cathedral and the opulent Rococo hall of the Abbey Library\, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here\, history can be experienced at every turn. 
From September 3–5\, 2026\, urban sketchers from near and far will gather here to discover the city through drawing. The focus will be on drawing together and personal exchange. All artists are welcome\, regardless of skill level\, experience\, background\, or age. \nIn St.Gallen\, we are breaking new ground. At this year’s USk meeting\, we are offering you a program that focuses on drawing together and personal exchange… without workshops. We are focusing on 4 SketchWalks with a total of 18 SketchPoints\, during which we will discover the alleys and corners of the historic city of St. Gallen together. We also offer a great supporting program with plenty of opportunity to talk shop with old and new friends\, and we’ll give you an inspiring souvenir to take home with you. SUMMARY:URBAN SKETCHERS SYMPOSIUM – 12 SEPTEMBER
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, 12 September\, Urban Sketchers Ticino invites Urban Sketchers from Switzerland and Northern Italy to a day of meeting\, sketching and sharing in the heart of Lugano. \nThe initiative takes place as part of the third edition of GEA Art Fest – Sguardi Disegnati\, dedicated to travel sketchbooks\, and was created to bring together the different Urban Sketchers communities. \nThe day will begin with a guided tour of the exhibition together with the Festival Director\, continue with a sketching marathon through the streets of the city\, and conclude with a convivial gathering where participants can meet and exchange ideas. \nAn opportunity to sketch together\, meet new Urban Sketchers and share experiences. \n\nSATURDAY\, 12 SEPTEMBER\n📍 Meeting pointPatio of the Lugano Town HallPiazza Riforma 16900 Lugano \nProgramme \n10:30 AM – Guided tour of the exhibition with the Festival Director \n2:00 PM – Sketching marathon through the streets of Lugano \n4:30 PM – Artists’ Lounge: Final gathering of the Urban Sketchers groups
