DESCRIPTION:Diesen Sonntag zeichnen wir rund um die Feuerwehr in Biel-Bienne. Treffpunkt ist um 14 Uhr an der Werkhofstrasse 8.\n\nZeichnungsort: Mitten in der Stadt gelegen\, findet hier jeder etwas zum Zeichnen: Sei es das Feuerwehr-Gebäude\, den spannenden Turm oder die Fahrzeuge. Gleich daneben befindet sich das Ambulanz-Depot\, einige Gewerbe-Bauten sowie anschliessend ein Wohnquartier. Zur anderen Seite liegt die Esplanade-Parkanlage\, ein kleiner Fluss schlängelt sich durch die Gegend und die Sporthalle ist hinter der Feuerwehr. In Laufnähe befindet sich zudem der Gaskessel\, das Kongresshaus und der Güterbahnhof.

DESCRIPTION:Diesen Sonntag zeichnen wir im Fraubrunnenhaus in Twann. Treffpunkt ist um 14 Uhr vor dem Eingang an der Dorfgasse 28 in Twann. Wer mit dem 13.58Uhr-Zug ankommt\, ist pünktlich\, keine Sorge! \nOrganisatorisches: Der Eintritt ist frei und die Rucksäcke dürfen mit in die Ausstellung genommen werden. In den Räumlichkeiten sind Stühle verteilt\, welche mann benutzen kann. Bitte kein offenes Wasser verwenden\, Wassertankpinsel hingegen sind erlaubt. \nZeichnungsort: Das Fraubrunnenhaus ist das ehemalige Herbsthaus des Frauenklosters Fraubrunnen und beherbergt heute eine spannende Ausstellung über die Pfahlbauer der Umgebung. Pfeilspitzen\, Keramik\, Stein- und Horngeräte sowie Bronzegegenstände lassen sich entdecken.\nZudem haben wir auch Zugang zu der Halle mit Minush dem Bären und dem alten Ofen; der Aussenterrasse mit Blick auf den See und den Garten; dem Innenhof und dem originalen Dachstock. In jeder Ecke lässt sich etwas entdecken: Die Bibliothek mit den alten Büchern\, die Metall-Kammer mit Schlüsseln\, alten Bügeleisen\, Pfannenketten und vieles dem Zweck vergessenen. Es findet sicher jeder etwas zu zeichnen. In Laufnähe sind zudem die Altstadt Twann sowie das Seeufer und die Rebberge.

DESCRIPTION:This time we will sketch around the Klausbrunnen in Zurich’s Oberdorf. The fountain goes back to a request from 1588 and is therefore part of the city’s layered urban history. Around the square there are many narrow lanes where you will find both shade and plenty of picturesque corners waiting to be sketched. \nMeeting point: On the small open square at the corner of Neustadtgasse / Frankengasse\, right by the Klausbrunnen. \nPlease bring your own drawing materials and\, ideally\, a small folding stool. No prior experience required. We sketch for about 2 hours\, solo or in small groups\, at an easy pace. Afterwards we regroup\, share our sketches and take a group photo.

DESCRIPTION:Station Circus at Dreispitz\, a temporary use project now in its 12th year featuring a big top\, old circus and site huts\, and an old tram\, is a place brimming with creative imagination. \nNormally\, the site is closed to the public outside performance times. This afternoon\, however\, a member of the team opens the gate for us and we are made to feel very welcome to draw. The team running the site is also very keen to see our drawings. \nThis venue for contemporary circus invites international and Swiss circus companies to perform and offers circus artists space to train and rehearse. The project is supported by the Station Circus association\, which is also committed to the further development of circus culture in Switzerland. DESCRIPTION:The forecast for the weekend looks good\, so this time we are heading outdoors again. Albisrieden is one of those Zurich districts where you can still sense something of the city’s village past: around the historic centre\, timber-framed houses\, narrow lanes\, fountains and long-established public spaces meet everyday neighbourhood life. That contrast makes it especially appealing for urban sketching. \nMeeting point: At 11:00 a.m. at the fountain in the village centre\, right by the local museum (Ortsmuseum) at the corner of Albisriederstrasse / Triemlistrasse. \nPlease bring your own drawing materials and\, ideally\, a small folding stool. No prior experience required. We sketch for about 2 hours\, solo or in small groups\, at an easy pace. Afterwards we regroup\, share our sketches and take a group photo. Im Moment ist Donnerstag von 10 –12 Uhr sogar ohne Niederschlag wahrscheinlich. Also wagen wir es doch! \nWir treffen uns um 10 Uhr beim Weiher in Riehen im Sarasinpark (vis-a-vis Fondation Beyeler). \n \nMotive: \n\nWeiher (mit Fröschchen\, Libellen und Enten) und Orangerie (erbaut 1836)\nSchöne Allee\nNeben dem Park ist das Künstlerhaus Claire Ochsner mit skurrilen Skulpturen und Café (öffnet aber erst um 11 Uhr).\n\n  \nIm Park gibt es keinen Regenschutz. Wenn es regnen sollte\, suchen wir halt wieder mal Unterschlupf in der Dorfkirche St. Martin oder unter sonst einem Dach. \nLiebe Grüsse \nJürg

Ausserdem ist Sonne angesagt! Beromünster wurde im Mittelalter gegründet und hat noch einen schönen altern Dorfkern. DESCRIPTION:At St. Johann railway station\, behind the ‘Stellwerk’\, there is a fascinating spot. In the lovingly landscaped ‘Il Giardino Urbano’\, you can wander along the winding path at any time and linger on garden furniture beside old tracks and carriages\, cosily nestled amongst the greenery\, with a view of the steam rising from the waste incineration plant in the distance. \nThe view from the bridge\, accessible by lift\, is also well worth a visit. The former Stellwerk is now an attractive workplace and a hub for cultural and creative professionals from all sectors. There is also a steam bath here with an original entrance design. \nThe view of Vogesenplatz in front of the signal box offers plenty of everyday scenes. At 2 pm\, the stalls of the weekly market are being dismantled\, but the square provides plenty of subjects with its seating areas and green spaces\, bridge\, spiral staircase\, Coop entrance\, tram stop with pergola\, passers-by and distinctive buildings. \nMeeting point: 2.00 pm at the St. Johann railway station tram stop\, under the roof of the old customs hall to the right of the Stellwerk. Treffpunkt ist um 14 Uhr vor bzw. im Farel. \nOrganisatorisches: Wie immer bitte ich euch etwas zu konsumieren\, solltet ihr im Bistro zeichnen. \nZeichnungsort: Das Farel ist ein urbanes Bistro mit vielen veganen und vegetarischen Angeboten. Das Gebäude aber auch das Mobiliar ist an die 50er- und 60er Jahre angelehnt: Grosse Fensterfronten\, viel Holz\, Backstein\, Beton und Terrazzo. Im Innenhof finden sich begrünte Wasserbecken und eine Skulptur. In Laufnähe ist die Innenstadt\, die Schüss sowie das Kongresshaus.
