Saturday, 17 October 2026: Basel Drawing Meet-up at the Wolfgottesacker

The historic Wolfgottesacker is situated in the heart of the Dreispitz industrial estate. When it opened in 1872, it was nestled in a rural setting and was regarded as one of the most beautiful cemeteries in Switzerland. The buildings and the entire grounds are now listed as historic monuments. Old avenues of chestnut, lime and maple trees line the family graves, many of which bear the names of long-established Basel families. Numerous well-known figures from the 19th century also found their final resting place here.
